Support Services by Expanish Volunteer
At Expanish we attempt to make every volunteer’s travel abroad experience as exciting, educational, and secure as possible. We offer a myriad of student services in order to address every detail concerning a volunteers time abroad and guide/assist our students from the very first moment they arrive in Buenos Aires until the last day of their volunteer program. We believe in the work our volunteers are doing and the changes they are making and strive to provide the best volunteer and travel experience we possibly can.
Our Expanish staff is available during business hours, Monday-Friday, to provide answers or guidance to any questions or concerns our volunteers may have, and a 24/7 contact number for all Expanish student emergencies.

Student Visas
Students from the following countries who study on Expanish programs will automatically be granted a 90-day tourist visa in Argentina: Andorra, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Granada, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, New Zeeland, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Santa Lucia, Serbia & Montenegro, Singapore, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican, Venezuela.
Student from the following countries who take a study program with Expanish will be granted a 30-day tourist visa in Argentina: Hong Kong (British Nationals Overseas), Jamaica, and Malaysia.
Volunteers in Argentina for more than 90-days have an included trip to Colonia, Uruguay, in order to renew their tourist visa and continue volunteering for up to 90 more days. Students from other countries not listed above, or countries with a 30-day permit only, must apply for a student visa before entering the country and can contact the local Argentine embassy for more information.
Reciprocity Fee in Argentina
The Argentine Government has implemented a mandatory reciprocity fee that will be charged to those nationals of Australia, Canada, and the United States.
The Argentine Government has set each fee to an equal amount of what Argentine citizens must pay when requesting a visa/entry to travel to these countries. This reciprocity fee will be collected at Ezeiza (Buenos Aires International Airport) prior to clearing immigrations.
The fee is as follows:
- United States $131 USD
- Australia $100 USD
- Canada $70 USD (single entry)
The fee can be paid by the following methods:
- United States Dollars
- Argentine Pesos
- Traveller's Checks
- Credit Cards
For Americans and Australians, the fee lasts for 10 years or the life of the passport. For Canadians, the fee is valid for only one entry.
