Our Expanish staff are available during business hours, Monday-Friday: 10am - 7pm, to provide answers or guidance for any questions or concerns volunteers may have. Volunteers are also provided with a 24-7 emergency contact number as part of their pre arrival information so as to always have a way to contact our staff.

Volunteer Visas

Volunteers from the following countries who participate in an Expanish Volunteer program will automatically be granted a 90-day tourist visa in Argentina:

Andorra, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Granada, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Santa Lucia, Serbia & Montenegro, Singapore, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican, Venezuela.

Volunteers from the following countries who are on a volunteer program will be granted a 30-day tourist visa in Argentina:

Hong Kong (British Nationals Overseas), Jamaica, and Malaysia.

Volunteers on a 90 day plus volunteer program in Argentina have an included trip to Colonia, Uruguay, in order to renew their tourist visa and continue volunteering for up to 90 more days. Students from other countries not listed above, or countries with a 30-day permit only, must apply for an extended visa before entering the country and can contact the local Argentine embassy for more information.

Reciprocity Fee in Argentina

The Argentine Government has implemented a mandatory reciprocity fee that will be charged to those nationals of Australia, Canada, and the United States.

The Argentine Government has set each fee to an equal amount of what Argentine citizens must pay when requesting a visa/entry to travel to these countries. This reciprocity fee will be collected at Ezeiza (Buenos Aires International Airport) prior to clearing immigrations.

For Americans and Australians, the fee lasts for 10 years or the life of the passport. For Canadians, the fee is valid for only one entry.
