Intensive Spanish 20+10
The intensive Spanish 20+10 course includes a weekly total of 30 hours - 20 hours of group classes in the morning and 10 hours of private classes in the afternoon. This combination allows for a more rapid and effective fluency development.
The Intensive Spanish 20+10 Course combines small group classes in the morning with individual One-to-One lessons in the afternoon. This combination allows students to take advantage of the unique benefits of both group and private classes and to design a complete Spanish study program that works best for their individual needs. Students will have the opportunity to not only encourage interaction and communication skills in a group environment but also benefit from the undivided attention and personalized feedback that is only possible in a One-to-One environment. The course is best for students who are ready for an intensive schedule and who want to advance more rapidly and effectively through the Spanish-language curriculum.
What to Expect
The combination of group classes and individual classes gives the student an opportunity to interact with a group while also concentrating on their personal development.
In the morning, students will participate in the small group lessons of the Intensive Spanish 20 program. During this time, they will work on level-specific skills and topics alongside their peers who are in the same Spanish level. This group interaction provides a fun and motivational environment in which students will learn and practice through group activities and lessons.
In the afternoon, students will take individual classes and will have the opportunity to thoroughly explore topics that have been covered in the Intensive Spanish group course with an added emphasis on areas in which they may need further development or improvement. Students will receive personalized and undivided attention from the professor and can receive instant feedback about any areas they need to improve. During this time, students can choose to reinforce level-specific content that they did not fully understand during the morning classes or they can use this time to learn new grammatical forms ahead of the group class in order to advance more quickly through the levels with confidence.
Rapid fluency development
With the addition of individual classes, students have an opportunity to explore in more depth the themes and topics discussed in group classes. The professor can focus on the areas in which the student needsmore attention and assign tasks that focus on developing the skills in which they need the most improvementso the student will quickly gain a higher level of fluency through practice and vocabulary enrichment.
Flexibility and Customization
Individual classes allow students to focus on the concepts that they are most interested in at their own pace. The One-to-One lessons will focus on the four key language skills (writing, speaking, reading, and listening) while also tailoring instruction to strengthen the student’s weaknesses and focusing on creating lessons that appeal to the student’s personal learning style.
Practice makes perfect
The best way to learn is by doing. All of the class assignments are aimed to help students learn through extensive practice with their classmates and helpful correction and guidance from the professor.
Solid Academic Framework
All of our programs are aligned with and based on the Cervantes Institute guidelines, and the curriculum and teaching plans are framed by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In the classroom, our professors use the communicative method, meaning that students are encouraged to speak and interact as much as possible during class time. In all of our courses, students will develop the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
