What is the DELE Exam?
The DELE (Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera) is a linguistic proficiency exam that accredits the student's competency in the Spanish language. This internationally recognized accreditation is granted by the Cervantes Institute (Spain). The exam is only offered three times a year and can only be administered by an institution accredited through the Cervantes Institute.
The preparation course for the DELE exam
The preparation course for the DELE exam consists of individual classes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, specifically designed to ensure the student develops the necessary competencies to pass their selected level of the exam (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Beginner students wanting to take the DELE course will need approximately 8 weeks of lessons before starting at DELE A1 level.
The classes introduce a variety of activities to promote development of the four basic skills (writing, reading, conversation, and listening), all of which are necessary to successfully pass the DELE exam.
DELE materials
A wide variety of Spanish texts are used in all writing and listening exercises to expose students to all forms of Spanish language throughout the Hispanic world, including Spain and a number of Latin American countries.
Students receive learning materials to specifically prepare them for the exam and will be coached in each area of the evaluation. At the end of the course, the student will be given a practice exam which will help them to integrate their acquired knowledge and skills and to practice as if they were in the "real" testing situation.
