Experience Italian cuisine during your Volunteer placement in Buenos Aires!
For those of you who do not know, Buenos Aires is a city full of Italian immigrants, who came to this port city in the last century, and have much to do with why Buenos Aires is such a culturally rich city. The Italians influenced Buenos Aires in many ways including architecture, dialect, religion, intellectual thought, philosophy, and more, and carried on the many traditions and customs that have been in Italy for hundreds of years. Another thing, and some believe equally important, that they brought with them was beautiful, delicious, and scrumptious Italian pizza! And who better to serve you pizza than a restaurant that has been around since pizza first made its way to the streets of Buenos Aires.
Los Inmortales is a name known on the streets of Buenos Aires. This restaurant that opened its doors in 1950 and it has everything to prove it; housed in an old space, the walls are lined with antique photos of celebrities and entertainers that have gathered here over the years, and if you ask any server, they will be able to give you all of the names of their famous clientele. The atmosphere is ‘old-style porteno’ with few renovations over the past half century that it has been open. Their menu features more than 50 different styles of pizza, each perfectly cooked and layered with fresh ingredients and despite its famous name, Los Inmortales has continued to serve up each plate at affordable prices.
If you are in volunteering in Buenos Aires and want to experience a night of famous Italian pizza in a place of history, Los Inmortales is it!
