This is a common question among first time volunteers who are wondering why they must pay to volunteer in Argentina when they are already lending their services without a payment in return.

Where the heck does my money go?
When you book a volunteer program in Buenos Aires, the payment is distributed into a few different areas:
- Administration
- Health & Safety
- Support Services
- Donation to NGO
- All of the details are taken care of for you: Expanish will find your placement, set up your schedule, arrange pick-up and drop off, ensure all safety measures are taken, arrange accommodation (optional), and assist the volunteer in anyway possible during the entire length of their program.
About 15% of your total program costs goes to administration; this covers the fees of the people who organize the program from the first day of arrival (airport pick-up) until the very last day, and everything in between. This includes all communications between the volunteer, the NGO, transportation, accommodation (if applicable), etc.
There are certain safety measures taken during an volunteer program to ensure the health and safety of our volunteers. Providing students with health and travel insurance options, 24 emergency number, etc.
All volunteer programs also includes additional program options, such as cultural activities, excursions, city tours, plus pre-arrival and on site advising.
Expanish makes a small donation to the NGO that the volunteer signs up to. These NGO’s rely on donations and government help to finance their operations, and of course, the assistance of volunteers.
