Wednesday night in Buenos Aires; Where to go for After Office

Defintion: After Office; A Wednesday night tradition in Buenos Aires; a time to snack and drink with friends and family between the hours of 7pm and 11pm.
Where to go to relax during your volunteer program in Buenos Aires!
It is an important aspect of every porteños life that they have a mid-week work break; a way to keep things exciting and a way to relax a few days before the weekend. There are a few different hot spots to visit in Wednesday night throughout the city, but there is one in the downtown area that gets jumping every Wednesday night: Gran Bar Danzon
The entrance is a ground level, just a black door with the sign of the restaurant/lounge, head up stairs and a beautiful, dark, and sultry atmosphere opens up before you, and most likely, a myriad of different people as well. There is a front lounge, directly across from the long bar, and further towards the right, a beautiful dining area for those staying for dinner.
One of the best parts of Gran Bar Danzon is the incredible drink list; everything from classic cocktails and martinis to extensive wine lists and imported beers can be ordered. Plus, every night, especially Wednesday’s, a series of drinks are put on special, making ordering easy and repetitive! The food here is also fantastic, featuring various local dishes and foreign, plus creative plates like smoked salmon appetizers, spring rolls, risotto, and much more.
We recommend that volunteers who want to enjoy an evening out with friends, head to Gran Bar Danzon, sip a delicious drink and enjoy their time in Buenos Aires.
