Looking to relax during you off-time when volunteering in Buenos Aires?

If you are looking to relax after your volunteer work in Buenos Airs, there is a yoga centre in the city that will let you do just that.
Buena Onda Yoga is a new yoga institute located in both San Telmo and Palermo that was started by a few foreign girls who had a passion for yoga and for Buenos Aires. The yoga institute caters to both Argentine and foreign clientele, as classes are given in both Spanish and English, and is a great activity for those foreigners living abroad in Buenos Aires. The teachers are all internationally certified and have prior experience in teaching yoga.
At Buena Onday, they teach to types of yoga: Vinyasa and Iyengar.
· Vinyasa focuses on posture through movement and breath and covers a series of different movements during the class.
· Iyengar focuses on body alignment and strength. It uses specific actions in order to target new muscles, improving one’s overall posture and body strength.
All classes also include a warm-up to get the body ready for the yoga exercise as well as exercise mats.
The yoga schedule changes during the week, rotating in both Palermo and San Telmo.
(Check out their schedule here to organize it to your volunteer program!)
If you are someone who is staying in Buenos Aires for any period of time, taking a yoga class is a great way to not only be involved in a physical activity, but to rest, meet new people, and get into a daily routine. Yoga is a great way to be released from the daily stress of life, stay fit, and connect to both your body and mind.
What do you think? Could you be a yoga junkie?
