For those volunteers in Buenos Aires who have fallen in love with the many delicious sweets that Argentina’s bakeries offer, it is high time you learned how to make an Argentine goodie so that when you head back home one day, you can always keep a little bit of Argentina with you.

The Famous and Delicious Alfajor Cookie

The alfajor cookie, a famous treat around Argentina, can be found in any bakery and many corner stores as well. It is a simple cookie, comprised of two sweet bread ends with a delicious coating of dulce de leche in between. If you are looking for something fancy, you can get different flavoured alfajores, some coated with white or milk chocolate, and added caramel or marmalade. No matter how you have it, this cookie is delicious.
