Learn to How to Be a Wine Buying Expert in Buenos Aires

Argentina is not only known country wide but worldwide for its locally produced and absolutely delicious wines. Only a few decades ago, the majority of Argentina wine was being sold to only its own residents, however today, Argentina is the world’s 5th largest producer of wine and growing at warp speed.

It must be said that no volunteer experience in Buenos Aires would be complete without wine and since the price varies so much between each wine, we have created a list in order for you to know what wine you get depending on what price you pay!

** Remember, these prices are NOT for wine sold in restaurants, cafes, or bars; establishments such as these charge a different price to include service, mark-ups, etc.

$5-$10
I would be a little careful with these wines, as occasionally they resemble the liquid used to remove paint from your car, so only take a wine like this unless someone has recommended it.

$11-$20
This is a great range; here you will find nice wines that taste good and are good for every occasion. Brands, such as Benjamin, Norton, and Trapiche offer wines in this range.

$21-$39
These are nice wines that you can bring as a gift to a friends house for dinner or enjoy in a restaurant.

$40-$80
These are delicious wines for special occasions. It is understood that these prices seem very little to many foreign currencies but in Argentina it is possible to buy a great local wine for this price! Gotta love it!

$80 and up!  Woooweee! These are very good Argentine wines and we would consider it splurging. If you like wine, consider yourself a connoisseur, this is the only way to go.
