How to create the best Volunteer Program in Buenos Aires!

Thinking about volunteering in Buenos Aires this winter? Wondering how to create the best travel, volunteer, accommodation, activity-filled experience?

Here is how…

· Think about your interests and what kind of volunteer placement would be suited to you. Investigate into causes and check out the volunteer programs to get a good idea of what each program includes. Choose your program and apply.

· If you do not speak Spanish, why not take Spanish classes before, after, or during your volunteer program? This is a great way to become more involved in any volunteer placement, learn about the city of Buenos Aires, communicate with locals, and get a better understanding of the culture and traditions in Argentina.

· Accommodation is one of the most important aspects to any travel abroad experience. Staying in a Homestay is a great way to practice you Spanish, live with a local family, and learn more about Buenos Aires and Argentina. A shared apartment, hostel, or hotel give you the chance to meet other foreigners from around the world and offer you complete independence during your stay in the city.

· Apply to participate in activities and workshops in Buenos Aires. Argentina can be characterized by its wine, cuisine, futbol, polo, arts, and more, and you can participate in any of them, take classes or workshops, with your fellow volunteers.

· If you can, travel in Argentina. There are so many incredibly interesting and unique places to see in Argentina and if you are able you should try to explore as many of them as you can. Excursions to the wine region of Mendoza, the waterfalls at the Iguazu Falls, or the charming town of Colonia in Uruguay are just a few of the must-see’s in this beautiful country.

These are just a few ways to create a complete volunteer experience in Argentina!
